Have a good day, everyone! Assalamu’alaikum!

The year 2020 signifies an important transition in terms of how people communicate. Traditionally, people communicate by phone, or they meet directly face to face to have a conversation. The transition can be seen in the way people use digital tools to communicate. The way people transfer and deliver messages can be in many forms. The messages can be in the form of audio or video, and they can also be in the form of pictures with text.

The studies of cultures provide us with many insights to ponder about the meaning of understanding people and society. We not only can learn about our culture but we can also learn how to open our eyes and ears to understand how the cultures of other people beyond our nation. The notion of cross-culture understanding means that it teaches us to be more respectful toward differences. However, the basic aspect that we need to consider is to allow ourselves to stand on who we are exactly.

Young generations today are, in many ways and layers, different from the older generation. The difference can be seen in how they express themselves in communication. They call themselves a millennial.

Before I explain my opinion, I’d like to say thank you so much to you, Sir. You’ve given us very useful knowledge about the culture.

If we talk about Indonesia, there is a vast amount of meaning, one of culture. Indonesia is rich in the traditional culture of every region, tribe, language, and social. Especially in the modern age, as we feel today, I think Indonesia is increasingly global, both from many countries learn about Bahasa Indonesia and or using Bahasa in daily life, Indonesia’s foreign exchange student. Indonesia’s creative, innovative young people have been able to introduce Indonesia to the world, using English is the best way. As Indonesians grow in English, then we can introduce Indonesia to the world, attract foreigners to visit our country, and see how great Indonesia with its culture. Furthermore, in the year 2020, the covid 19 pandemics, not only in Indonesia, even the world’s enclosed. But in Indonesia, with this pandemic, a new culture of positive effects has surely been the result of the use of cloth masks, washing hands, or they bring hand-sanitizer anywhere.

That’s all about my view of Indonesian culture and the world in 2020, where Indonesia is much more advanced and absolutely, I am very proud to be a citizen of this great country!.

    Thank you🙏

Along with the times, in my opinion, the culture that exists in this country is increasing every year. for example, Indonesian culture has begun to modernize in accordance with technological developments. such as communication, it can be accessed easily by using messaging applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram and so on. Indonesia has begun to enter the era of modern culture which seems to be increasingly leaving behind the old culture. We take one example of the present if you want to communicate, first if you are not careful to speak, you will hear a saying that your mouth will grip you, which is different from this period, namely if you make a typo comment then that will be the attacker to drop we. that’s the technology that is increasingly here to change Indonesian culture. Not only that, Indonesian culture which was once famous for its polite clothes is now at odds with the entry of other cultures into Indonesia.

And there is one western culture that is currently becoming a trend which is of course rejected for its existence in Indonesia, namely being like the opposite sex, transgender or what is commonly called LGBT. a culture that is strongly opposed to entering Indonesia but in fact there is still this culture even developing in some areas secretly because it is part of a minority in the country of Indonesia, which is a country that has religion, customs and culture. and LGBT violates all the rules that Indonesia has. There is one western culture that until now is still considered to be a minority in Indonesia, namely the culture of being on time and the culture of queuing, it is not uncommon for Indonesians to always come late when making promises and what is always a problem if they are in a queue is that there are people who feel pressed. break the queue. really a culture that should be applicable in Indonesia but very difficult to implement.

In the world we live with various races, tribes and cultures but these differences do not become a barrier to knowing each other or even hostile because these differences make us the same. And in Indonesia, a country known as an archipelagic country, of course, also has a variety of customs and cultures. Based on Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, different but still one. This suggests Indonesian differences but remains the same. Indonesia is said to be a country that has the largest Muslim population and the answer is correct. And what is unique in Indonesia is that there is one island that dominantly has one religion, namely Hinduism on the island of Bali. If the island of Sumatra is predominantly Muslim and leaves one area where Protestant Christianity is dominant.

In the world there are various religions, but the difference in Indonesia is only 6 religions are recognized. In the world there are several religions including Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Korean religion, Chinese religion, Sinto, and several of them. And in fact in this world there are countries that have no religion, namely Alaska, Russia, and Australia. Countries in various world have unique writing as a characteristic of their country. Likewise with the typical writings of several religions, such as calligraphy from Arabic writing, there are also Hindi writings and Japanese fonts that look unique. So various are the creatures that God created so that we all know each other through language and writing.

Indonesia is a rich country, rich in culture and resources. This is what makes Indonesia has a diverse culture and some of them have in common. In the beginning, culture in Indonesia developed based on the religion that first came to Indonesia, namely the Hindu religion and then continued in several other religions which have developed until now to become the largest religion in Islam in Indonesia.

We have felt together that 2020 is the toughest year that we have experienced since the monetary crisis in 1998, even 2020 is the toughest year. Why is that?
Indonesia is a country rich in natural and human resources, Indonesia is listed as the country with the largest population after China. The country with the most culture in the world, from the number of ethnic groups, races and cultures, Indonesia is very rich. Talking about culture, of course it is very familiar in our country, with many people in Indonesia, of course they have different cultures in each occupied area, such as the plate dance which is a cultural dance from West Sumatra. Not only dance, there are still many cultures that exist in each region. The natural beauty that attracts tourists to visit Indonesia.
As time goes by, of course there have been a lot of changes that have occurred in Indonesia, especially regarding culture, how to communicate is also called culture, how to communicate between ancient people and the present era or more often referred to as the millennial era, is very much different, considering because of the times and technology from in the past, of course we adjust everything to the circumstances we feel. In this day and age, most people communicate only via cellphones, there is no need to meet but communication continues to run smoothly, this aims to make it easier for each other to maintain good communication, besides that the entry of foreign cultures is not surprising anymore, because it is assumed we are exchanging cultures with other countries so that we get benefits, for example when we want to go abroad at least we don’t know what the trends and culture are there. However, many do not first filter whether foreign culture is suitable to be applied in Indonesia or not. However, there is no prohibition for the entry of foreign cultures into Indonesia.
It is different from 2020, when all circumstances change suddenly, we feel drastic changes at this time, in 2020 where the infection and spread of the deadly virus, namely the corona virus, is the biggest epidemic today. The existence of this plague seems as if life stops immediately, causing significant losses by the Indonesian nation, the economy has drastically decreased, closing down tourism in the world, because in this outbreak the spread is very easy, the government makes a policy policy not to gather and crowd with other people. The Covid 19 outbreak or the people familiar with the title Corona Plague has had a lot of extraordinary social impacts. Where the social order of the community with its extraordinary culture has been destroyed by the Corona.
The social and cultural order of our society is known for its warm hospitality, meeting shakes, warm smiles that always radiate. But what happens now, the smile seems to disappear covered in masks of various shapes and colors, can shake hands? no ,, we now have to keep our distance due to this epidemic.

  5. Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh, iam Widia ayu Felani, my number 1814050023, from TBI-B. My answer is first the culture is the whole system of ideas, actions, and works of human in order to live in society, which is the property of human by learning. After that we relate it to the culture in Indonesia in my opinion the culture in our country is diversity because we are not only have many religions but also many ethnic . And it caused to born a many cultures in Indonesia.
Indonesia’s culture has existed since ancient times and still exists today such traditional dance as the plate from west Sumatra and the eating of bajamba, traditional dress of bundo kandung from sumatera, ulee balang from aceh. And there is a traditional fabric of our culture that the world already recognizes: batik cloth and the traditional food “Rendang”.
But But in the year 2020, there are some Indonesian cultures that are already faded because of the influx of western cultures and as the age goes on, they tend to live in the cities as individuals, and to avoid their herbal remedies they prefer quick technological remedies.
Nonetheless, Indonesia’s culture continues to grow in 2020, with several Indonesian cultures such as modified traditional dances to more modern as still being preserved today, and some modified wedding customs as well as yet continue to feature its unique territory in all weddings. Therefore, it seems to me that Indonesian culture has remained awake despite the slight changes that have been made in the development of science and time.
Thats all from me thank you.

  6. I am Wessy Rahmandani Wahid (1814050031) from class TBI B will try to respond to Mr. Syayid’s question ” What do you think of Indonesia Culture and the World in the year of 2020, especially after you know about theories and concepts of cultures?””
Culture? What comes to our mind when we talk about Indonesian culture and foreign (western) culture? I can guess if we talk about Indonesian culture, what comes to our mind is polite clothes, various languages, and others. So if we talk about the culture of outsiders (west) then what comes to mind is the free association there, sexy clothes, and much more. But before that, do we know the true meaning of culture? Is what is in our minds related to culture?
Culture or culture is very closely related to society. Melville J. Herskovits and Bronislaw Malinowski argued that everything that is in society is determined by the culture that is owned by the community itself. The term for that opinion is Cultural-Determinism. Herskovits saw culture as something that was passed down from one generation to another, which was later called superorganic. According to Andreas Eppink, culture contains all the meanings, values, norms, knowledge and all social, religious and other structures, in addition to all the intellectual and artistic statements that characterize a society. Now, from the understanding by the experts above, it means that what has been in our minds so far about culture is true. So culture refers to various aspects of life including ways of acting, beliefs and attitudes, and also the results of human activities specific to a particular society or population group.
Then what about the culture in Indonesia in 2020? Indonesia is an archipelago that includes more than 17,000 islands inhabited by around 255 million inhabitants, a figure that makes Indonesia the fourth country in terms of the country with the largest population in the world. We can be sure that Indonesia has an extraordinary cultural diversity. These cultures vary widely, from Hindu rituals practiced on a daily basis on the island of Bali, to the (partial) enforcement of sharia law in Aceh and the Mentawai hunter-gatherer lifestyle. Indonesia is also known to have a very good culture, ranging from religion, language, behavior, clothing and all of that is listed in our Pancasila. But it seems that currently there are some officials in Indonesia who want to change the culture in Indonesia with foreign cultures that do not really reflect Indonesia. For example, there are officials in Indonesia who allow LGBT people, even to the point of wanting to develop a communist understanding that is very much at odds with the culture in Indonesia. The point is that the culture in Indonesia is currently on the verge of damage.
If we talk about foreign (western) culture, for those who are troubled by society in Indonesia is a normal thing. For example LGBT people there are common, or in Russia, communists are the lords of the country. Now, this is what the culture in each country is saying is different, and we cannot equate it. How to greet, and how to eat in each country also varies. What is prohibited in our country is not necessarily prohibited in other countries, this is also worth studying.

“What do you think of Indonesia Culture and the World in the year of 2020, especially after you know about theories and concepts of cultures?”
This question is absolutely interesting since I’ve learned so many things about Indonesia and world cultures from you, as my lecturer.
Well, the world recently, has progressed very far. This is certainly supported by the era of globalization, which urges every country in the world to continue to develop so as not to be crushed by the times. This actually has a positive impact, because with the times, it indicates that world civilization continues to create reforms that can facilitate human life. Many things have changed, including culture. We all know that in the past, people used letter to send messages from far away, while nowadays people use phones to communicate easily. In the past, people used their traditional clothes as daily wear, and now it changed. But, every kind of cultures in the world will always remain and have been ingrained as part of the life of the world community. Because, those cultures are their characteristics. that’s what makes Indonesians different from Americans and the others.
Unfortunately, the diversity of cultures in the world has resulted in divisions among several ethnicities. Racism. This topic has actually been a social issue for a long time, but it is becoming big recently after some cases, in 2020. I honestly don’t understand this. How can the diversity that should be the uniqueness of each society even become a source of ridicule. As a human being, we have been blessed with sympathy, emphaty, and respect. Why don’t we use those things to make the world a better place, a peaceful place.
The lack of these sense also affects in Indonesia society. Even the people of Papua asked for a referendum to free themselves from Indonesia. This is a really emergency.
The diversity is one of the beauties of the world. The diversity has given the world its color. Respect all the cultures that exist in the world, because culture has shaped the world this far.

Indonesia consists of many islands. Not only that, Indonesia also has a wealth of cultural diversity. Indonesian culture certainly comes from various regions which are still preserved by the indigenous people in the area. Each region certainly has its own habits, traditions, and characteristics that become its identity, starting from language, clothing, homes, and arts in the form of songs and dances.

Indonesia is famous for its cultural diversity. Even Indonesian culture is well known abroad. Not only famous but also recognized by the world. Some even studied Indonesian culture. Such as Kecak Dance, Saman Dance, Wayang, Batik, and others.

But unfortunately, due to the influence of foreign cultures our culture is starting to disappear. We, as the nation’s successors, must be able to filter which ones are appropriate and according to our country. For that, look at the positive and negative sides of these foreign cultures. With our own cultural diversity, we must be able to maintain and also preserve our own culture, so that it doesn’t just disappear.

Well, I’ll answer the question about Indonesia culture in 2020:
In my oppinion Indonesia is the fourth largest island nation in the world, noted in 2020 that Indonesia currently has a population of about 270 million. This figure implies that much of the cultural diversity that comes from individual areas of Indonesia. The diversity of the culture itself is an inescapable characteristic of the identity of the Indonesian people and distinguishes this country from any other country in the world.

Understanding that each region of Indonesia is unique in cultures of different shapes or figures of language, ethnicity, dance, songs, ceremonial customs, tribal homes, music instruments, traditional weapons, and the beauty of nature, indonesians also reflect on the steps to explore Indonesian culture that could be the potential attraction and interest of visitors to visit an area in Indonesia that could boost Indonesia’s economic growth in the tourism sector.

But in 2020 the 19 corona virus pandemic that has affected worldwide countries and caused significant losses in the world’s tourism sector. In Indonesia itself income in the tourism sector has nearly dropped to 100% and many in the tourist industry suffer losses from declining tourist interest. In the modern era of modernity and in addition to the time of the pandemic step in exploring cultures should not only provide the means and infrastructure of tourism, but many of today’s younger generations are using Internet media to introduce Indonesian culture to the world. As done by Indonesia’s youtubers and selecters, it is an introduction to Indonesian culture through youtube content or its little intagram page about Indonesian culture about dance, food, and lifestyle.

Thus, it can be concluded that the country of Indonesia has a diversity of cultures to explore in the world, though today it is faced with corona pandemic viruses in a number of countries in the world, including Indonesia’s own activities to explore Indonesian culture, As a modern generation of young people can use social media like youtube and instagram through positive and useful content.

I will answer the questions above
As we know that every country has its own characteristics or culture, just as Indonesia has its own cultural, such as ethnicity, language, race and religion, therefore Indonesia is known as a multicultural country. Culture is divided into traditional and modern. In this day and age we live in an era of globalization where the influence of globalization in all aspects, especially in the cultural sector among young people today, such as the negative influence of globalization, some traditional cultures are starting to be abandoned and replaced with modern cultures, such as examples of traditional dance that are less watched by young people and replaced with modern dance such as dance, as in musical instruments, young people now prefer to play modern musical instruments than traditional musical instruments and so on. In addition, globalization also has a positive impact, just as we can introduce our culture through communities, art events or through social media that are close to young people. As the younger generation, we may like new things but must not forget the culture of our nation.
We can also feel changes this year, where cultural changes also occur in various sectors, including the education sector as a student, the change we feel the most is the change in the teaching and learning system in the classroom, where usually the teaching and learning process is face-to-face but is now replaced with the online system, from the economic sector we can see that the work culture that is applied has changed from working together in an office environment to working individually at home. This is done to break the chain of spreading the Carona virus. From this we can conclude that culture must have a flexible nature.

I will answer Mr. Syayid’s question. The question is “What do you think of Indonesian culture and the world in the year of 2020. Especially after you know about theories and concepts of cultures?” Indonesia has various ethnic groups and cultures, including traditional houses, traditional clothing, and regional dances. The cultural diversity of Indonesia from Sabang to Merauke is an invaluable asset, so it must be maintained and preserved. Although Indonesia has a diverse culture and also different from Western culture, this makes Indonesia a complex and interesting country.
Usually the implementation of Indonesian cultural exhibitions is carried out directly in various regions. But in 2020 now, because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Indonesian culture is exhibited in virtual form. Not only cultural changes, the social life of the Indonesian people has changed due to demands as an effective solution amid the outbreak. As with the activities of gathering together, recitation, social gathering, routines that we usually see are finally starting to be reduced as a form of social distancing which is one of the prevention of the spread of Covid-19.
Likewise in other countries, socio-cultural life has also changed. Not only culture, education, health, economy, politics and infrastructure have also changed. This has a negative impact on people in the world, especially the Indonesian people.
    Thank you sir.

Im Selvia Andri Yani (1814050019), I Will answer your question about Indonesian culture in 2020. Indonesia is a country that has a lot of diversity from culture, ethnicity, and religion. The diversity of Indonesian culture can be said has advantages compared to other countries, Indonesia has a complete and varied cultural portrait. No less important, socially, culturally and politically, Indonesian society has a historical fabric of dynamic interactions between cultures
    assembled a long time ago.

Talking about Indonesian culture in 2020, as we know Indonesia has many and varied cultures. Now from this diversity the lack of society to protect and preserve it. For example, our culture is claimed by neighboring countries, which has become the center of attention recently. “Batik” which is claimed by Malaysia, can be seen from the excitement about this phenomenon that has provided self-awareness for the community to further preserve our culture, even the government had made a policy “Thursday batik. “For all Indonesian people to want to wear batik in order to preserve the batik culture in Indonesia. In addition to the role of the community and government is needed to preserve Indonesian culture, I think education is no less important, because the world of education is a facilitator to introduce Indonesian cultures to Indonesian young children (generations), and make cultural lessons an obligation not only As an additional lesson, this does not rule out the possibility that all people will recognize the culture we have.

So because this diversity is the wealth of the Indonesian nation that we must protect and preserve so that it can provide a color of peace and peace for the Indonesian people so that in the future there will not be many problems that threaten the nation’s disintegration and also make ourselves and others aware of how important it is to preserve culture Indonesia. That all For me, thank you

I will answer your question that What do you think of Indonesia culture and the world in the year of 2020. Especially after you know about theories and concepts of culture?
Indonesia has various ethnic groups, nations and cultures. The culture in Indonesia is also very varied in terms of the size of the territory in Indonesia, of course there is also a lot of cultural diversity. Regional cultural diversity is a national cultural wealth. The diversity of socio-culture and customs in the territory of Indonesia has become a national culture based on the 1945 Constitution.
Wayang is a performing art originating from Java that has been recognized by UNESCO as one of the cultural heritages of the Indonesian nation in 2003. There are also dances from Aceh which have also been recognized by UNESCO in 2011, namely the Saman dance, a dance that shows the cohesiveness of each each player. If you look back, there are many more cultures that have been recognized by the world. It is proven that Indonesian culture is very attractive in the eyes of the world because of the diversity of cultures itself. Moreover, Indonesia is known for its friendly people who love to smile. There is evidence of the large number of tourists visiting Indonesia to watch regional cultural performances or enjoy the beautiful expanse of Mother Earth.
Reporting from kompas.com, Minister of Educational and Culture (Mendikbud) Nadiem Makarine wants Indonesian culture become to an effective culture. Indonesian culture, from being only guarding or referred to as a defensive cultural paradigm, has become offensive. The paradigm that must be changed is a paradigm that sees art and culture as only a community activity. Indonesia will move forward to the world stage to showcase its cultural wealth in 2020 or a maximum in 2021.

In my point of view about Indonesian culture in 2020 ,Indonesian culture is very unique, where Indonesia has several cultural, ethnic, religious and linguistic diversity, thus making Indonesia a complex country. Culture itself is defined as a habit, or a way of life that is shared or by a group of people that continues to develop and is passed down from generation to generation. Culture here is not only customary, but also language, beliefs, behavior, lifestyle, works of art, religion, food, and so on. These cultures contain noble values and knowledge.
As we can see today, Indonesian culture has declined somewhat, this is due to the emergence of many new cultures and foreign cultural influences.
The progress of science and technology or the flow of globalization greatly affects local culture, this causes changes to the community, for example the culture of appearance and language, this is very visible and imitates external cultures.
So, as the nation’s successor, we must try to always preserve our culture so that it does not fade and disappear, for example by studying existing arts and skills, loving domestic products, and participating in cultural festivals.
As we know, this year the population of the earth was attacked by the Covid-19 outbreak, the spread of this virus is happening rapidly. During this pandemic, it has had a great influence on our culture, one of which is having to do social distancing, work from home, study from home and so on. This results in less socialization between individuals. Apart from the bad effects of the pandemic, there are also good effects, namely teaching us to be more disciplined in time and to live clean and healthy lives and we as students are required to learn more creatively and independently.

Hello Mr. Syayid, I’m Atika Putri Melsan (NIM: 1814050014), from TBI-A.
I’d like to answer the question given.
In my opinion, Indonesian culture in 2020 is very different from previous cultures. Especially after the the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic which has an impact not only on the Indonesia, but on all countries in the world. On average all activities have been stopped. For example in the realm of education where face to face learning activities are temporarily stopped and replaced by online learning, not only this is another example in the office domain, all activities in the office are also temporarily suspended and are also replaced by an online system where all work from home. In my opinion, this is a new culture in Indonesia as well as other countries in the world.
Talking about Indonesian culture itself, as we know that Indonesia is a country that has a very diverse and unique culture. This has even received recognition from the world, for example batik, which many foreigners are interested in and praise for the goodness of Indonesian batik. But unfortunately, the Indonesian people today seem not to care about this, because according to them wearing batik or the other traditional clothing is outdated and not fashionable anymore, so most of them prefer to wear clothes that are not suitable for use in this country, they prefer to imitates the fashion style of western people who are open and like less material. This does not really reflect Indonesian citizens who value Indonesian culture itself.
Not only that, in other aspects, for example in terms of songs and music, recently young people in Indonesia are more fond of songs and music from abroad, without glancing at songs and music in Indonesia itself, they seem to forgot the culture of their own country. They prefer to listen songs and music from abroad. For example, it can be seen from teenagers in Indonesia who really like K-POP, they will be very excited if there are concerts from the Boy/Girl Band from Korea, they are even willing to spend a lot of money to be able to watch it live, and vice versa if there are cultural exhibitions or other cultural events they are just indifferent. From this it can be seen that the love for one’s own culture has faded. After I noticed this did only happen in Indonesia, but also in other countries where teenagers in that country really idolized Korean Boy/Girl Bands, such as Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, and many other countries.
In terms of technological advances at this time it also affects various aspects of life including cultural aspects, where previously Indonesian people were known as friendly, smiling, mutual cooperation, and so on suddenly changed after getting to know social networks, thus making the environment apathetic with this real environtment. Now people prefer to tell stories and their complaints in cyberspace compared to the real world, this certainly has an impact on social and culture. Then it can also be seen that children today prefer to play online games compared to existing traditional games, even many of them don’t know about these traditional games because there is no recognation from their parents, instead they are given the freedom to play games from handphones, causing addiction as well as other negative effects.
Therefore, we as the successors of the Indonesian nation should be proud to have this diverse and unique culture, we must also be wiser in using technology and social media. For this reason, we must pay more attention to and preserve Indonesian culture by introducing it to children from an early age so that this Indonesian culture is not lost to time. :”)
That’s all from me, thank you.

  18. I am Ratri Senita Muliani, my register number is 1814050015 from TBI-A. I would like to give my opinion about this issue.
Indonesia is an archipelago that is widely and occupied by many people, so Indonesia is the country with the largest population after China, The USA and India. This certainly makes Indonesia have a diverse cultural wealth of Sabang to Merauke. In addition, Indonesia also has diverse ethnicity, religion and linguistics. This can be seen from the differences in the language and culture between people who are in the western hemisphere and east of Indonesia, such as parts of Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, Sulawesi and others. So, this is not surprising if Indonesia is known as a multicultural country.
Indonesian culture has been recognized in the eyes of the world. This is because many young people participate in cultural activities such as dance performances in their respective regions. For example, at the ASEAN Games event some time ago which was held in Indonesia where our country was the host, thousands of young people of the nation performed the saman dance as a form of welcoming the event. This is even glimpsed by various circles in the world. So that the saman dance became a go international, even this year in South Korea, the saman dance won first place in an international dance championship.
Apart from its cultural diversity, Indonesia is also famous for its natural beauty and culinary delights. With some of these things, it certainly makes Indonesia familiar in the eyes of the world, especially with the beauty of Bali as the 5th most beautiful tourist spot in the world. Many foreign tourists who visit or vacation in Indonesia understand and try the culture in Indonesia. In fact, not infrequently our culture is attached to foreign tourists who have stayed for a long time in Indonesia, such as eating, dressing and talking habits. In conclusion, it is not only external culture that is able to influence our culture, but the opposite can happen. With cross cultural understanding, we are able to see and compare the differences between one country and another, this is so that we are able to adapt to the culture in which we are, not to find which culture is good and bad.
    That’s all. Thanks.

  19. Assalamu’alaikum Wr.Wb. My name is Sarah Fadilla Aulia, NIM 1814050063. My opinion regarding the culture of Indonesia and beyond, as we know Indonesia has a lot of ethnicities and cultures in every region, but as a result of the development of this cultural era, it tends to be eroded and abandoned, as in ancient times, every Eid Minang will make “ketupat” and “lamang” but at this time it is mostly abandoned due to the long and complicated manufacturing process, this happens because today’s society wants something instant, coupled with the arrival of new culture and technology from outside. people tend to even forget their original culture and traditions, but something new is not always negative, the development of technology and the entry of new cultures from outside can also help people’s mindsets become better and more open, for example the culture of the Mentawai people who usually change clothes with tattoos , because of information and technology new logic they finally recognized clothes. everything has a positive and negative impact, depending on which side we look at, another example of this is IT technology, nowadays, children tend to play gedget rather than playing and socializing with their surrounding friends, but on the positive side they can understand technology and apply it. However, it needs to be realized that the role of parents is very much needed in these times, because the influence of the internet is not 100% safe.

I want to answer questions about Indonesian culture in 2020.
I think Indonesian culture is very unique. The diversity that exists in Indonesia complements one another, both in the areas of habitual attitudes and inhabitants, works of art, food, prevailing values and norms, beliefs, legends of mysticism and others. Basically, the culture in this country is not easily lost because it is ingrained, it’s just that there has been little change due to the influence of outside culture. And this is where the importance of our role as the younger generation of Indonesia in control of where this country will be carried.
We as the successors in this country must try to always preserve our culture so that it is not lost. For example, by learning the arts and skills typical of this country such as traditional music and dance, traditional food or skills such as batik, and others. Loving traditional works does not mean we are old or out of date, we may keep up with the times but still have to preserve our own culture. One of the steps to love our culture is like loving domestic products, participating in celebrations or participating in any cultural event or festival in this country.
Culture is not just about works of art and so on. Culture is also defined as a habit. In our own country, the people are known for their friendliness and mutual cooperation. In addition, we are also required to respect differences and diversity and promote the habit of deliberation and consensus.
In 2020, several countries around the world are facing the same problem, namely the corona virus pandemic, including our country. This certainly has an impact on our culture, for example in the field of mutual cooperation and others. This viral pandemic prevents us from interacting as usual, so that some activities are not effective in several fields such as education, health, social, economy and others. This is where our role as young people who think critically and actively respond to a phenomenon is needed.
Learn from a pandemic that has changed the order of our lives in this country. By witnessing this, we can learn how important skills are in various fields. We should also be able to help those around us to get used to this situation. And don’t forget to surrender to our Lord.

My name is Maulani Almufida Manik (NIM 1814050005), from TBI-A 18. I’d like to answer the question given.

According to Edward Taylor (1958), culture is a complex whole which includes knowledge, belief, art, law, morals, custom and other capabilities and habits acquired by man as a member of society. Every country in the world has its own culture and each culture has its own uniqueness. Indonesia, as a country with various tribes and ethnicities living on thousand scattered islands also has diversity of cultures. Indonesia culture consists of the traditions of local community, food, clothing, religious rituals, dances, musical instruments, crafts and many more. No wonder that Indonesia is considered a country that has attracted the world’s attention.

As we know, in the year of 2020 the world is facing a global pandemic that give impacts on many sectors for every country, including Indonesia. For example in education sector, it can be seen that all learning process at school are converted into online learning from home. The way teachers communicate with their students is now using social media and digital applications, such as Zoom or Whatsapp. I don’t think these applications are as effective as face-to-face learning, but that’s the best way that can be done now to prevent the virus spreads and reduce positive suspects.

The young generation which also called as millennial has a very important role in preserving the culture. A culture will dissapeared if it’s not passed on from a generation to the next one. In order to maintain a cultural heritage, one way that the young generation can do is a communication. For example, Indonesian millennial can do a cultural exhibitions such as puppet shows or traditional dance competitions. Even though we are in the middle of pandemic and no offline events are allowed, Indonesian millennial still can maintain cultural values by utilizing the sophistication of technology. For example, they can do a collaboration video of doing a cover of Indonesia songs through video-call application.

However, the most important thing for every community in Indonesia, especially for millennial is, that they should always love and preserve the culture of our country by not underestimating it and respect every cultural differences that exist in each region. That’s all from me, thank you.

In 2020, Indonesia right now is experiencing an economic recession caused by Covid-19, the difficulty of finding work and the large number of unemployed, for those who graduate from high school and college, it is difficult to find work. and also because of the COVID-19 factor, all young people and parents often start work using Android for almost 24 hours they use these gadgets, causing them to pay less attention to their surroundings.
as we know, Indonesia is an archipelago that includes more than 17,000 islands inhabited by around 225 million people, a figure that makes Indonesia the fourth country in terms of a country with a population spread across the world.
Indonesia is rich with various kinds of culture and customs. Stretching from Sabang to Merauke, culture is a nation’s asset that must be preserved amidst foreign culture through globalization.
The mutual cooperation group is a cultural heritage that has existed for generations according to, in addition to mutual cooperation, tolerance is needed among fellow Indonesians so that they can help each other regardless of ethnicity, race and between groups.but over time, today’s youth are less busy with their surroundings, namely mutual cooperation.

My opinion on Indonesian culture in 2020 is, As we know,
Indonesia is a very strategic country and a country that has a million charms of beauty, wealth and culture that no other country in the world has. culture plays an important role in the advancement of the Indonesian nation. In the midst of an increasingly stringent era of world civilization, making culture an investment that can build a country in the future. Apart from that Indonesia is comprised of many different cultures and religions. Indonesian culture in 2020 has many differences. Why can it be said like this, because nowadays many young people are starting to ignore their own culture. Some even deliberately ignore, forget and still laugh at Indonesian culture which is considered ancient. If this is allowed, it will have a bad impact on Indonesian culture and over time Indonesian culture will disappear.
However, to overcome this problem, Indonesia has found a solution. 2020, in this modern era. There are many ways that Indonesia has done to maintain its culture. Like preserving Indonesian culture, the Indonesian government sets compulsory subjects in schools or campuses, namely Indonesian history and culture subjects. It is a compulsory subject which students or youth should follow in remembering who they are and who they are. So that in modern 2020 they can still survive in the midst of various kinds of cultural and religious differences united by PANCASILA from Sabang to Merauke.

Indonesia has a variety of cultures, ranging from religion, regional language, types of food, customs in each region, even clothes and manners are different in each region.

That’s why Indonesia has a lot of diversity, especially in 2020, where the internet and media start to grow, even parents and young people already understand how to run software and hardware, sharing information from various regions.

But it can also make unique changes, such as westernized, k-pop style, and various. We must also be able to preserve local culture and works, being careful and wise in the internet is the key, we must be able to sort out information, which is legitimate and which is hoax. it’s all for our progres, for better future.

As we know that Indonesia is a country that is rich in ethnic, racial and cultural diversity. The Indonesian state has a different culture in each of its regions. Besides that, there are characteristics that are the main attraction of that culture. There is Indonesian culture which is the result of acculturation and assimilation with other cultures. Many Indonesian cultures have been recognized by the world. Such as shadow puppets, silat, angklung, Balinese dance and saman dance. The recognition of Indonesian culture in other countries is a matter of pride for Indonesia. In my opinion, Indonesian culture in 2020 can still maintain the authenticity of that culture, especially in rural areas that have not been too affected by external culture. As in the area of Java which still very much preserves the culture of the ancestors, especially the culture related to mystical things, besides that there are still kingdoms in the Java area. In the Nias area there is still the tradition of the fahombo stone jumping which is a preparation before fighting and in the Pariaman area which still often performs the old traditions such as tabuik and others. But in urban areas, the people of course have been influenced by foreign cultures, both from the style of dress, the language used such as combining Indonesian with English when speaking, besides that in terms of food, there are traditional foods served in international style or foreign food. tailored to the tastes of the Indonesian people. This is a natural thing as long as we can choose and filter which foreign cultures are in accordance with our culture, because in this era of globalization we must be able to keep up with the times.

in my opinion Indonesia has such an amazing culture and is one of the attractions for foreign tourists. The original Indonesian culture is not so loved by foreign tourists, so that they are interested in learning and interested in it in their home country. Abroad there is also a lot of cultural diversity and it has also developed until now, but in some countries young people don’t care about their culture, but in India they still uphold their culture of dress, there for women they wear saris, even though there are many too. dressed in modern clothes, but the saree was still worn.
As we know, the development of culture in Indonesia always fluctuates. In the beginning, the Indonesian state had very many cultural heritage from their ancestors, things like that must be proud of the people of the Indonesian state itself, but at this time Indonesian culture has declined somewhat from the socialization of the population, now many have forgotten what Indonesian culture is because of the many that arise. a new culture that affects the original culture of the ancestors. As globalization progresses, the love for culture decreases, and this has a very bad impact on the indigenous people of Indonesia. Too many lives have entered Indonesia, for example, culture in appearance, language, even those that symbolize foreign culture and so on. This is usually due to the influence of electronic media which has been very developed in our times. From television, cellphones, and computers and other electronic devices. society has now developed into a modern society. That causes Indonesian culture to gradually disappear, which the Indonesian people should take action at this time. And it is the Indonesian youth who can change all that. Also cultivate Indonesian culture itself.
For example, in the advancement of technology, which is increasingly prevalent, especially among students. With technological advances, such as the existence of BBM, WattsApp, Line, Facebook, Twetter, and others, which are the developments in the increasingly modern era of Indonesia, so that they forget the culture that was carried over from a long time ago. In an increasingly sophisticated technology culture, it can have positive and negative impacts. Among them, the positive impact is that students easily do assignments, find information, and socialize with other people easily. Meanwhile, from the negative impact, namely with the advancement of technology, students sometimes misuse and cannot make good use of their time, for example opening Facebook during lessons, so that it can interfere with their learning time. This is what can be detrimental to Indonesian citizens, because the more sophisticated the means of communication are, the higher the negative impact they will have. So that Indonesia feels disadvantaged, because we are seen as facilitating the nation’s successor. Therefore, take advantage of time and modern technology properly. This is my opinion

Hello, i’m Loly Variza 1814050028 From TBI-B UIN IMAM BONJOL PADANG.
My answer of Mr. Syayid question is i think Culture is a custom practiced in every region in the world, culture or culture is closely connected with society because it is also a way that a group of people pass on through generations. Culture is an integral part of society that people also consider culture to be genetically passed on, I think it is also something that should be preserved or developed, why is that? Because the culture is beautiful and unique because every culture or culture in every province in even the world is different and that’s a unique thing.
The culture is complex. Culture also has a sense of meaning or significance to each community because the culture was born of the mind of the community itself, the culture is interesting, why? Because one culture doesn’t necessarily belong to every region in the world.
Indonesia’s culture is just as multiplying as before. Indonesia has various ethnic and cultural groups such as regional dance, traditional dress and traditional household and so on. Nothing changes Indonesian culture in 2020 except a change in behavior and attitude. But there are people in some areas who have failed to live the culture they have even lost and forgotten about the culture, and today’s younger generation has no active role in preserving the culture. Whereas it’s the younger generation that’s supposed to take the culture and bring it.

  29. Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. I’m Irma indriani Nim 1814050025. My answer to Mr. Syayid’s question:
Indonesia is a rich country, both natural and cultural resources. natural resources like Sea wealth, mountain, hill, etc. should be able to develop the Indonesian people. However, the treatment of natural resources is not maximized to be deployed. The proof, Indonesia still hits a large range of exports than exporting ready-made products. I hope, sometimes, Indonesia can deploy the ability to produce the product, not just importing products. Then, cultural resources like the diversity of ethnicity, language, religion, home, clothing to tradition. All of the diversity becomes characteristic for each tribe. And that’s the uniqueness. Besides, the beauty of natural Indonesian, such as mountains, sea, lake, cave, and other attractions makes Indonesia be an amazing tourist destination. Coupled with the people’s hospitality, adds to the uniqueness of Indonesia.

Talking about Indonesian culture 2020, I see that Indonesia is very open with overseas culture. For example, clothing and food. It is not difficult for Indonesians to find clothes and food foreign. Some millennials choose to follow that development. Like, wearing clothes like Western clothing. in my opinion, this is not a wise choice. However, that does not mean I disagree with the openness of Indonesia with overseas culture. I just want to say that Millennial Indonesia should be more wisely in choosing something to use because our own culture is not less unique from the outside country.

The continuity of Indonesian tradition in some areas this year seems to be blocked by Covid Pandemic 19 It has differences with previous years. In Indonesia, there are religious holidays such as Eid al-Fitr. Usually, Muslims are very enthusiastic about celebrating this day. Gathering to celebrate the special day of Islam together. however especially this year, all of this seems to be changing. There are no family gatherings and no worship in mosques or the field. However, I hope this pandemic is over and the continuity of tradition can be revived.

I will answer your question as the MID Term Test, Mr. Syayid. And this is my answer:

As we already know, since a long time ago, Indonesia is rich in cultural diversity. This happens because Indonesia is a country that has many islands and each of these islands is inhabited by people who have different cultures, ethnicities and backgrounds. So, when viewed as a whole, Indonesian culture is very diverse and interesting. However, in my opinion, in 2020 there have been some shifts, changes or even lost some things that usually exist as the culture or identity of this country. Like cultural traditions that are starting to be forgotten. Maybe this happened because of the influence of the times.

The young generation of Indonesia also does not master this traditional Indonesian culture and is more likely to follow the western lifestyle. I personally think this has both a positive and a downside. The negative thing is that if this keeps happening, I mean if the younger generation doesn’t want to preserve Indonesian culture, then Indonesia will slowly lose its identity and uniqueness. But, the positive side is that the younger generation can keep up with technological developments to compete in the international world. So, it would be better if the two of them were balanced so that our country would not lose its uniqueness and on the other hand we could prove Indonesia’s existence to the world.

Indonesian culture is indeed very unique and interesting to discuss one by one. For example, in terms of friendliness and how to communicate with the people. Almost every Indonesian has a habit of giving a smile as an introductory greeting or greeting to people. Both with fellow Indonesians and with foreigners who come from abroad. This is of course very different from other countries in the world. For example, in several countries in Europe, they assume that smiles will only be given to the closest people who are already known. It would feel weird if they gave a smile to someone they didn’t even know at all. I don’t mean to compare which one is better between Indonesian culture or other countries. But I’m only trying to explain what I know about cultures in other countries that are different from Indonesia. 🙂

Even so, as the young generation of Indonesia, I sometimes feel surprised and a little disagree with Indonesian culture. For example in terms of talking or communicating with teachers or lecturers at school or campus. I don’t understand why we always have to say sorry before we start asking questions or submitting opinions to teachers or lecturers. It’s true that not everyone demands the same thing, but as far as I know, the fact is most of it is. We as the young generation sometimes feel a little less free in our opinions. I am very happy with the culture and habits of foreign people who mostly talk to the point and honestly without having to much nonsense and long-winded. My hope is that the previous generations will be better and more open-minded about this. I personally don’t know whether this is good or not, or maybe it’s just my ego as a millennial 🙂 But that’s how I feel. I know maybe that is the purpose of politeness. Indonesia is indeed famous for having a polite society. For example: One of the ethnic groups in Indonesia, namely Java. They will apologize and keep speaking quietly and politely if someone steps on their toes. This is very unique and that is Indonesia.

Indonesia is very rich in diversity and uniqueness in various ways, including culture. Since ancient times, until now in 2020 it is still the same. It’s just that, there are some traditions or habits that have begun to be forgotten or reduced as people have started to adopt and follow the lifestyle of western people. Especially millennials. However, this is not entirely bad, Because millennials can have a more open and positive mindset towards cultural differences with other countries in the world. However, it is better if we keep up with the times and do not forget to bring Indonesian culture into these developments.

This is my answer when asked what I think about Indonesian culture and the world after learning about the concept of culture itself.
This is my personal opinion. Please forgive me if there are words that are not good or appropriate.
    Thank you:)

In my opinion, in 2020 there are no very specific changes that I see. It’s still the same as before. Indonesia still has a variety of cultures and various ethnicities, with all differences in race, religion, and customs, which are still inherent in Indonesian culture. And it is still the same as the previous year, this year Indonesia is decorated with intolerant behavior. There is a lot of persecution that occurs because we are easily provoked. The spread of hate speech has continued to occur in the past few years. In fact, as we know this year may be the toughest year for us as the people of Indonesia. Apart from that, culture from outside continues to try to enter and blind various speculations from various societies, both in terms of attitude, lifestyle and social attitudes as the times evolve. In the following, I will describe some examples of behavior that have occurred cultural changes, for example from a lifestyle point of view, nowadays the lifestyle is getting worse and bizarre, and also increasingly out of control, many are consuming drugs, alcohol and other dangerous objects / drinks / foods, while in ancient times the culture in our country was still thick with traditional, healthy traditional foods. In addition, many people are also more interested in shopping without going to the market, via online or even anything else, after that in this day and age the culture in our country is almost extinct due to the entry of western cultures that have no clear meaning. such as Valentine and Halloween, which many of us Indonesians also celebrate. And one other example is from the point of view of ancient belief that our country still worshiped the spirits of our ancestors. And hold fast to the preceding teachings of our ancestors, while in this day and age our country puts forward logic with existing evidence, some even do not have religion or are often called atheists.
For this reason, as a millennial generation who is the hope of the country in the future, we should study more carefully in sorting out cultures, the pros and cons of what goes into this country, we must be smart in selecting them for the good of ourselves in the future and so that the thick culture of Indonesia does not fade. and the outside culture also does not blind us to leave or forget our original culture.

Hello, My Name is Feni Guspita NIM 1814050065,
    I will Answer ur Question..
As we know, Indonesia is the fourth largest archipelago country in the world, a figure that makes Indonesia the fourth country in terms of the country with the largest population in the world. This figure also implies that a lot of cultural, ethnic, religious and linguistic diversity can be found in it.
Indonesian culture is very different from Western culture because there are differences in experience, belief systems, hierarchies, religion, time issues, spatial relationships, and much more. Moreover, in Indonesia itself, there are many different cultures. This makes Indonesia a complex country, and therefore an attractive country in the eyes of the world. However, the over time and the development of information technology generations in Indonesia are mostly more interested in foreign / western culture. For this reason, we as the nation’s future young generation and as Indonesian people must continue to preserve Indonesian culture, even being known and recognized by the world.
This year, as we know, the entire population of the earth is currently being tested with the Covid-19 (Corona Virus Disease – 2019) outbreak where the outbreak has been declared a pandemic by WHO. The spread of this virus occurred very quickly, initially only in Wuhan, China. But now it has spread to all countries in the world and this has had a huge influence on the nations who live in it, including the Indonesian nation.
This pandemic has a very big influence on Indonesian culture, one example of it is in socializing with other individuals, having to work at home with activities using Gadgets every day, as well as the education process carried out online from the lowest and highest education levels in Indonesia, the use of this gadget is actually already long been applied abroad .. One of the implementation of the education process that the Indonesian government is copying to respond to the current pandemic..
I think that’s all From me thank you for attention..

    My answer :
Indonesia is a country with a variety of cultures. Currently, many things or aspects have changed. It is not surprising that the current reality is very concerning. We all seem to focus on how to seek a new way of developing culture in the midst of a pandemic. Even we, who are quite capable in understanding culture, are tested on how to develop a new culture. Yes, the Covid-19 pandemic, will not be considered the absolute cause of all current facts, but we have to agree, that this is what causes things to change.
As we know, social and cultural interactions will always undergo changes based on the times. Finally, social and cultural interactions must adjust to the latest developments. Even the changes on all fronts, take place very quickly when the world changes, while others seem to slow down. We also know that there are changes in social and cultural interactions that occur unplanned or unintentionally. For example, there is a disaster that forces us to think and rack our brains to survive or think about how to deal with certain calamities caused by (non-natural) disasters. The pandemic we are currently experiencing was never planned, nevertheless not planned, we must still think about how to deal with it.
With the disaster as intended, of course there will be major changes, including changes in life habits and interaction patterns. So now there is a new model of interaction that occurs in the social order. For example, it can be mentioned the fact that the habit of interacting / communicating that happens directly (face to face), now has to be undone, and choose online communication. This is what is happening now. Another side that we can raise from a new cultural perspective in the midst of a pandemic is a fact that we cannot avoid, including a new cultural potential that people are starting to rely on to fight this pandemic.

  35. Assalamualaikum Wr.Wb , I’am Ririn Dinda Febriayu (1814050050) from English Tadris Department – B. My answer for the question above is in my opinion, Indonesian culture in 2020 is still diverse as before. Indonesia has diverse ethnic groups and cultures such as regional dances, traditional clothing and traditional houses and others. In my opinion, Indonesian culture in 2020 only change in terms of behavior and attitudes, as we know, this year is a difficult time for Indonesia itself and other countries on the earth due to the corona virus or covid 19. Inevitably, lifestyle and behavior society changes according to the existing circumstances. Of course, this change in attitude does not mean that existing cultures such as various regional foods, traditional clothing, have also changed. It’s just that in my opinion, Indonesian culture cannot be implemented by millennials today, even though we Indonesians should be proud of our culture. The entry of foreign culture and the lack of acceptance from Indonesian society makes the identity of the Indonesian nation increasingly unclear, this can be seen from supermarkets eg: “Indomaret, Alfamart”, which are already filled with foreign products, the way of dressing is already inclined. Many young people are more interested in foreign culture, even when asked about their own culture, they almost don’t know, therefore I as the millennial generation hope that in this increasingly advanced era in 2020, we as the nation’s next generation can maintain our identity as Indonesians so that not carried away by the current development of the times, we can just update, like culture from abroad, it’s just that we also have to be able to judge which ones can have long-term good and bad impacts on our country, don’t let the characteristics of Indonesian culture slowly be erased because of our attitude those of us who are too “accept / open-minded” will be outside culture.
For western culture, as we know they are famous for “freedom”, but behind that freedom they are not easily influenced or entered into by the culture of other countries, this is what we should be able to exemplify from western culture, we should not only be influenced but we should also be able to influence, we introduce our culture to other countries.

Indonesia is a very multicultural country, each island / ethnic group has its own distinctive culture. In 2020, Indonesia is faced with a corona virus which causes problems in various aspects of people’s lives. The massive attack of the new corona virus has not only resulted in health problems and an increase in the number of deaths, but has its viral impact on various aspects of human life, such as economy, religion, politics, and especially socio-culture. With the existence of Covid-19, there are indeed many things that are harmed, but it can also be an opportunity for a major transformation. During the New Normal era, it can be said to be a cultural statement, meaning that the existence of Covid-19 presents a big question about how strong Indonesian culture is. In addition, New Normal is also considered as a cultural precedent. Through Covid-19, this has actually become a historical momentum because many parties have been taught something new.

People can get used to living healthier and more productively with technology, a picture of a situation they used to be lazy to do. With Covid this is an event that disrupts us, our routine is disrupted by Covid so that to survive we have to build a new culture, new traditions including new disciplines, and I think this new social, health, production discipline is a crisis as well as a big opportunity. In the new era of normality what needs to be considered is building the structure of knowledge and awareness. Individuals have experience with disciplines and they know obedience creates salvation.

Even because of the corona virus, art and cultural actors have given birth to new creations, as has appeared to be surfacing on the internet and viral on social media in the form of new and lively works about music and songs with the nuances of COVID-19. Meanwhile, in Java, there is also a strengthening of awareness of the cultural tradition of the community, namely drinking herbal medicine (made from empon-empon) to strengthen the body’s resistance against COVID-19. This is not something strange, but because some people think Covid-19 is also something foreign and dangerous, they are becoming more culturally creative. Perhaps the COVID-19 attack also causes the campaign to live clean and healthy people in their daily lives, discipline towards rules, glorifying the character and noble values of the nation, gain the momentum to become a cultural tradition that is firmly rooted in this country.

The impact of a pandemic is felt to be extraordinary, even though historical records show that the virus is not only attacking in the 21st century. Since centuries ago, attacks, whether due to viruses or other infectious causes, were on a large scale with mass casualties, until now it is popularly known as the plague. I’ll answer your question sir!
Culture is closely related to society. Culture contains the whole meaning of social values, social norms, science and all social, religious, and other structures, in addition to all the intellectual and artistic statements that characterize a society. Culture is something that will affect the level of knowledge and includes a system of ideas or ideas that exist in the human mind, so that in everyday life, culture is abstract. Every country certainly has a different culture from one another. An example is the difference between eastern and western cultures.
Western culture (eg America) is a culture in which awareness is cultivated by understanding science and philosophy. They carry out various ways of discussion and debate to find or determine what kind of meaning is actually pure / original from consciousness. They learn a lot and also teach, which originally came from the discussion and debate they had. Through the learning and teaching process, western cultural experts are required to be good at lecturing and discussing. This was done because in the end many would follow his teachings.
Eastern culture (co: Indonesia) is a culture where awareness is cultivated by doing various kinds of physical and mental training. Physical training can be exemplified by maintaining a diet and drinking pattern or what foods can be eaten and what drinks can be drunk, because this can affect both growth and physicality. Meanwhile, mental training can be in the form of activities that are generally / mostly carried out independently.
And here are some points of difference expressed by Chinese artist Yang Liu about culture between East and West, and I will take an example of the difference between Indonesian and American culture:
    1. Opinion
Indonesians tend to be convoluted in arguments where the meaning is not as complicated as the argument.
America is more to-the-point in arguing.
    2. Time
Indonesia is indeed famous for its rubber watches and does not respect time
As for America, they tend to be on time
    3. Lifestyle
Indonesians will be more comfortable if they stay close to relatives, especially family.
Unlike Americans, they tend to be individualistic.
    4. Relationships
Very socializing or having more complex relationships, so that social media has become an application that is often used as a tool for socializing.
In contrast to Westerners they are more individualistic / very rarely have relationships with other people.
    5. Celebration / Party
If there is a celebration or party, many Indonesians prefer to invite all their relatives and friends. For example in weddings, making a large number of invitations is a waste.
In America, when they organize an event, only relatives, family and a few close friends are invited.
    6. Against something new
In Indonesia, if there are new items, for example: gadgets, because Indonesians tend to be consumptive, they will buy these items to fulfill their curiosity.
Unlike Americans, when there is something new, they don’t necessarily want to know and want to have or use it, just to know.
    8.Trendy
If Western people prefer something traditional and natural.
On the other hand, Indonesians are not yet called trendy if they don’t have a western style, for example: they feel more prestigious when they eat at a fast food place, even though in the country of origin the food is practically ordinary food.
    9. Transportation
America used to dominate cars. Now, bicycles are more dominant, because of the importance of health
In contrast to the East, previously they used bicycles dominantly. Now, you have to use a car, if you can use the services of a private driver.
    10. At the place to eat
At the place to eat. Americans tend to be orderly when they eat.
Indonesians sometimes tend to eat by chatting until they are quite noisy and a waste of time.
Other things include food culture, if the west has 3 sessions at mealtime, namely appetizer-main course-dessert. In Indonesia, these three are the main food. And there are also various traditions in Indonesia, such as a 7 monthly event in Indonesia, while in America it is a baby shower. The difference is that in Indonesia it is the mother-to-be who makes the event, while in America it is a close relative of the mother-to-be.
However, it depends on the character of each human being. As citizens of Indonesia, we must develop things from our culture to be positive and can help the country become a developed country, like America.

Before we get into anything further, this is an important disclaimer. ‘Indonesia’ is a singular term that names a particular nation, but there’s nothing uniform about its culture. There are at least 300 ethnic groups in Indonesia, each with their own set of customs and distinctive cultural objects. That doesn’t mean there aren’t any similarities or tendencies between one culture to the other, but when reading this phrase keep in mind the diversity that comes with it. Often what considered as Indonesia’s culture is in fact an image of a dominant one or reflects an amalgamation of certain similar cultures.
Indonesian culture is very different from Western culture because there are differences in experience, system beliefs, hierarchies, religion, about time, spatial relationships, and many more. Moreover, in Indonesia itself there are many different cultures. This makes Indonesia a complex country, and therefore an attractive country. On the part in the in some of we some do’s do and do’s do and do’s do and be do’s do and be do it and be do it and be do it of the west.

    France
‘Modern’, ‘prestigious’ and ‘fashionable’ were all areas where France scored high, and the French ‘je ne sais quoi’ is something that people across the world try to imitate. Lifelong Paris resident Roobens Fils didn’t even realise how influential his culture was until he travelled throughout the Middle East and Asia.
“People in very remote places love and are inspired by French food, French art and French fashion. I met people in Iran telling me how they loved Molière! I was shocked! They know Molière in Iran!” said Fils, who blogs about his travels at Been Around the Globe.
What do you think about Indonesian and World Culture in 2020, especially after knowing the theory and concept of culture? ”

    Vietnam
Now has 40 thousand historical and cultural heritage sites, of which there are 105 special national historical heritage sites, 3,486 national historical sites, more than 62,000 recapitulated intangible cultural heritages, of which there are 329 national non-material cultural heritages. Until 2025, there are at least 5 new world cultural heritages including two material cultural heritages and 3 non-material cultural heritages ”.
During these 10 years, cultural activities and performing arts have made positive contributions to the general development of the country, step by step improving the spiritual life of the people, helping to maintain, conserve and develop the various traditional cultural values effectively, educate the spirit of pariotism and the spirit. national pride. Many cultural treaties with countries and international organizations, bilateral and multilateral international conventions have been signed. The cultural interaction between Vietnam and foreign countries is being expanded step by step, creating a good impression on friends about Vietnam’s cultural and artistic traditions, helping to disseminate Vietnam’s image to international friends.

Culture is a reflection of its society, including the smallest community. Culture is “the way of life” for a society which is defined as a community value system that characterizes values that are shared and accepted in one understanding with the backgrounds of different organizational members and are used as the basis for the rules of behavior in the organization. . Indonesian culture is very different from Western culture because there are differences in experience, belief systems, hierarchies, religions, notions of time, spatial relationships, and many more. Moreover, in Indonesia itself there are many different cultures. In addition, each region of Indonesia has its own habits, traditions, and characteristics that have become their identity. Starting from language, clothing, home, and arts in the form of songs and dances. This makes Indonesia a complex country, and therefore Indonesia is very attractive.

In the concept, culture will always adapt to the changes that occur around it. And in 2020 there was a pandemic that was very shocking to the world, namely Covid 19. With this pandemic there are many health protocols that must be followed by the world community to minimize the victims of this Covid 19.

Due to this pandemic, many world cultures have changed, one of which is the work culture which has been replaced by online or virtual means to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Hello, I am Melisya Fitri (1814050003) from TBI-A.
I will state my opinion about the condition of Indonesian culture in the current era from a wisdom perspective according to the perspective of the Qur’an.
Indonesia is diversity. because in Indonesia there will be a lot of cultural diversity. the uniqueness of each community, and the beauty of every corner of the area. Indonesia has a diversity of ethnicities, cultures, religions that coexist peacefully. Each region has its own characteristics, traditional houses, food, and much more. Indonesia also has fertile land, lots of spices. There are already beautiful beaches, mountains and cool islands. Indonesian people are known to be friendly. Indonesians like to work together.
Indonesian culture is very different from Western culture because there are differences in experience, system beliefs, hierarchies, religion, about time, spatial relationships, and many more. Moreover, in Indonesia itself there are many different cultures. This makes Indonesia a complex country, and therefore an attractive country. This culture is very unique and well known in Indonesia. Even so, several generations in Indonesia are more interested in foreign culture because of the sophistication of technology that continues to develop. However, the Indonesian people still preserve Indonesian culture and are even known and recognized by the world.

The corona virus affects Indonesian culture today in terms of several aspects, one of which is in terms of wisdom among cultural arts actors to give birth to new creations, such as having surfaced on the internet or gone viral on social media. New and lively forms of work on music and songs with the nuances of COVID-19 and also for Sujono Keron, who is contemplating the inspiration for the COVID-19 pandemic, into a new work of exploration of the world of insect puppets that have been created so far, into insect dolls or insect corona dolls. In my opinion, this COVID-19 attack can create a campaign for clean and healthy living for us everyday, discipline towards the rules, upholding the nation’s ethics and noble values, the momentum to become a cultural tradition that is deeply rooted in this country. Viral pandemics are not part of global societal events, but neutralize tremendous forces for the future of human life. It can also be dreamed that the new corona virus of this century will give birth to new traces of this nation’s culture and the way the global community builds new civilizations.

we must try and strive to maintain the unity and unity of our country which the previous fighters fought for. Do not let us be crushed and divided just because of the weakness of ukhuwah wathaniyah which is the background of the spread of this corona virus. In the Qur’an surah Al Imran verse 103 which means: “And hold on to the rope (religion) of Allah, and do not divorce yourself, and remember Allah’s blessings for you when you (during the time of Jahiliyah) were hostile – enemies, then Allah unites your hearts. Then you became you because of the grace of Allah, brothers and sisters; and you are on the brink of hell, so Allah saves you from it. In this way Allah will explain His verses to you. , so that you can receive guidance. ”
That’s All for me, Thank you

I’d like to answer the question. So, culture represents the national identity. It represents the way local community deliver their daily life mannerly, which reveals uniques for each ethnic and the way people think of their life, including spirituality and morality.
You know well that Indonesia has abundant cultural richness due to its ethnical varieties and history. Considering that Indonesia was colonized, Indonesia cannot get away from the influence of the colonal. This situation leads to a question how it accomodate the foreign influence.
As one of countries in the world, important to understand Indonesian culture from two perspectives, such as the influence of thought from other countries and the characteristic of Indonesian locality, and keep appreciate by maintaining the internalization of local thought. By exploring both contexts, we can expand to perspectives regarding the global and local context of Indonesian culture.
(I think teens need to see the concept of a culture from both sides)

Indonesia is known as a multi-ethnic and religious country, from which Indonesia has a variety of different cultures. In each of these cultures there are high social and artistic values. In the current condition, Indonesian culture is slowly fading away. This is due to the development of technology which in the end can have a negative impact on the indigenous culture of Indonesia. With the development of many electronic media, western culture can easily enter Indonesia, thus starting to change the mindset and behavior of the Indonesian people.

Western culture that entered Indonesia actually has positive and negative impacts on Indonesian society. The positive impact, for example, creativity, innovation in the development of science and technology, disciplined life and professionalism in others.

However, the negative impact of foreign culture on Indonesian culture is also large, especially among adolescents.

The negative impact of foreign or western culture on Indonesian society, especially among teenagers, has reached an alarming stage, because there is a tendency for teenagers to forget the culture of their own nation. Culture follows along or talkative about how to dress for example. Teenagers do not want to be said to be old-fashioned, village-like if they don’t follow the western style of dress because they are considered modern, trendy and up-to-date, even though they show their genitals which are prohibited by religious teachings or contrary to the customs of Indonesian society from generation to generation.

In addition to how to dress and fashion, promiscuity and cheating among adolescents, which are seen as deviant behavior, both religiously and socially, are also problems for culture in Indonesia. In general, Indonesian adolescents behave in a follow-up manner without being selective in accordance with the religious values they adhere to and their customs.

Teenagers also feel that the culture in their own country seems far from modernization. So that adolescents feel prestigious if they do not follow the times, even though they are contrary to the values of their religious and cultural teachings. So that in the end teenagers prefer western culture, compared to our own culture.

Indonesian culture in 2020 is due to the fact that Indonesia is still hit by the Covid-19 pandemic, Indonesian culture is carried out online or online, and also changes the Indonesian cultural paradigm from being only guarding or referred to as a defensive cultural paradigm to being offensive. So that Indonesia will move forward to the world stage to showcase its cultural wealth in 2020 or a maximum in 2021.
During the Covid-19 pandemic and 2020, it has become a culture for the Indonesian people and also a culture for the world to comply with health protocols, such as:
    1. Wear a mask
    2. Social distancing
    3. Avoid crowds / lots of people
    4. Wash your hands
    5. Don’t leave the house if you don’t feel well.
And in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak, culture
Indonesian dance, singing competitions / solo songs, and other cultural arts will be held online in 2020. Taiwanese culture in 2020 and in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, Taiwan will introduce the interaction and development of the creative culture industry of Taiwan and Indonesia to the public through online videos.

Indonesia is a country with the most cultures in the world. Not surprisingly, the population has different cultures from east to the west and from north to the south. The tribes that live in each region have different habits, beliefs and languages as well. Getting to know some of Indonesian culture will not only make your traveling experience to Indonesia more enjoyable but will also enrich the way you see the world. Here are some information on what you need to know about Indonesian culture.
Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity) is a motto that has been held by the Indonesian to embrace all the people amid diversity. This is a principle run by the Indonesian people where ethnic, tribe, cultural and religious diversity is not a barrier for Indonesians to unite and respect one another. The tolerance that people have is the color of the unity of the Indonesian people. In fact, Indonesia often gets credit from other countries because it can remain united amid many cultural differences among its people.
Culture of world i choose ItalyFamous for designer brands like Valentino, Armani, Versace and Gucci, Italy scored a perfect 10 in being both ‘fashionable’ and ‘trendy’,
But this notorious attention to detail extends beyond fashion. “Italy has a great impact in everything that has to do with style, from food to furniture,” said Angela Corrias, originally from Sardinia but who now lives in Rome and blogs at Rome Actually. The country’s food of course claims an outsize influence. To experience the country’s culinary influence first-hand, Corrias recommends heading to capital city Rome. “The financial crisis hit hard, but Romans will never give up on eating out,” Corrias said. “Here you can explore both the traditional flavours and recipes created with a modern twist. Porto restaurant in Prati area, for example, serves a seafood version of the traditional cacio e pepe (pasta seasoned with Roman pecorino cheese and black pepper), and while it might sound weird, the combination of cheese and seafood, it’s actually delicious.”

I will answer your question, sir.

    Bismillahirrohmanirrohim.

Koentjaraningrat (1986: 180) defines culture as a whole system of ideas, actions, and human work in the context of community life, which is made the property of humans by learning. Culture consists of everything that a person must know or believe in order for him to behave in a way that is acceptable to members of society, by studying culture, we also learn a knowledge. Indonesia has a lot of cultural diversity. Therefore, Indonesia’s cultural diversity and uniqueness is an attraction for other nations from around the world who want to know about it and even learn about it.
As the times evolve, culture will continue to change, adapt to these times. Each region in Indonesia has its own habits, traditions, and characteristics that have become their identity. Starting from language, clothing, home, and arts in the form of songs and dances. As an example of the existence of culture in Indonesia, such as batik art, reog art, Pendet dance, puppet art and many others. This culture is very distinctive and well-known in Indonesia. Even so, some of the millennial generation in Indonesia are more interested in foreign cultures because of the constantly evolving technological sophistication. However, the Indonesian people still preserve Indonesian culture and it is even known and recognized by the world.
In 2020, countries in the world, including Indonesia, will experience catastrophic chaos in the form of a pandemic due to Covid-19. All experienced a crisis, be it a crisis in terms of education, economy, etc. Lifestyles have changed since the pandemic hit. The community is expected to remain obedient to health protocols, such as staying at home. Currently, technology is the most important part. there is a new model of interaction that occurs in social order. For example, it can be mentioned the fact that the habit of interacting / communicating that happens directly (face to face), now has to be undone, and choose online communication. This has become a new culture in Indonesia and the world. The existence of a new culture in the midst of this pandemic has changed the usual cultural patterns.

My opinion about Indonesia culture in 2020 year is
Indonesia is a country that has great appeal in the eyes of the world to visit. Indonesia is a country that is very strategic and a country that has a million charms of beauty, wealth and culture that no other country in the world has. If viewed from past history, Indonesia has been visited by many countries in the world. The foreign national came to Indonesia with a specific purpose and stayed for a long time in Indonesia. They do many things in this country of Indonesia and blend in with the lives of the local people. By doing activities every day together so that new habits emerge and there is a mixture of 2 cultures that do not eliminate the original Indonesian culture. With this, it adds to the list of uniqueness of culture in Indonesia itself. Indonesia consists of various kinds of different cultures and religions. But Lita is united by Pancasila and the Indonesian philosophy of Yantu different but still one.
Indonesian culture in 2020, there are many differences. When talking about Indonesian culture in 2020, of course it is closely related to Indonesian youth, which can be said by millennials. Why can it be said like this, because at this time some of the younger generations are starting to ignore their own indigenous culture. There are even those who deliberately ignore, forget and still laugh at this Indonesian culture which they consider ancient and plump. If this is allowed, it will have a bad impact on Indonesian culture and over time Indonesian culture will disappear.
However, to overcome this problem, Indonesia has got a solution. In 2020, in this modern era. There are many ways that Indonesia has done to maintain its culture. Among these methods is to maintain Indonesian culture, the Indonesian government establishes a compulsory subject at school or campus, namely the subject of Indonesian history and culture. This is a compulsory subject that students or young people must follow in remembering who they are and who they are. So that in modern 2020 they can still survive in the midst of various kinds of cultural and religious differences that are united by PANCASILA from Sabang to Merauke.
And the condition of the world in 2020 is now very different from before because of the corona virus pandemic, making all the habits and cultures of people in the world change completely. And people like it or not have to face this problem well and be able to survive to keep on living and fighting together.

I will tell my opinion about the culture in this year. In my opinion, the current culture has significant differences from the previous culture or the old culture, I can give an example in terms of buying food in this era, many new payment methods are made or used by people such as e-Money wich is different from before that people still consider cash to be more reliable.

besides that there are many foreign cultures that we can learn and even apply without erasing our unique culture or ours, foreign culture that I mean is the culture of Japanese people at work, Japanese people are very active and disciplined in working so we as Indonesians can apply or learn about the culture.

After all, in 2020 we are using gadgets a lot as a means of learning during a pandemic, this also includes a new culture for Indonesia especially in terms of technology. In 2020 we can fully realize that it is important to study technology because in this era humans are closely related to technology and can become a new culture for humans, especially for Indonesians.

I will Answer your question sir,
As we know indonesia looking at the factual existency of Indonesian people as a people with various primordial backgrounds that grow in them, it is impossible for Indonesia to adopt monoculturalism as the glue of our varied lives together. We don’t even have enough to go through a paradigm of pluralism. Pluralism is only at the standard stage for our rejection of monocultures or homogeneity in national life. We want to go further, higher, wider and deeper into what is called multiculturalism.

Indonesia should be claimed to be the pluralistic or heterogeneous reality of a nation. It is in this pluralistic condition that each of us weave and weave a life together toward a better quality of life. And the best way to weave our lives in a better direction is the cultural road. The framework of culture is placed on the consciousness of each person who always CARES for a better life and employs the cultural way as “in leading a good life” (sutrisno: 2011, Hal. 148)

Therefore, the development of a multicultural approach should be based on three principles. First, cultural diversity forms the basis for determining philosophy. Second, cultural diversity is made the basis for developing curriculum components such as goals, content, processes and evaluations. Third, the culture of the education environment is a source of learning and object study that must be part of the learning activities of young people. Moral education should also be included in multicultural education. In shaping a person’s moral behavior, learning plays an important role. To that end, the impact of the environment on which learning is carried on greatly affects moral development. Sadly, moral education and moral growth are no longer commitments. Moral orientation and behavior are pushed aside and replaced by thought intelligence, expertise and a variety of behaviors appear in the outer layer.

    Thank you Sir🙏🏻

Judging from the geographic location of Indonesia, which is in the form of an archipelago, the customs of the people are different from one another, and the culture of each village or city varies from island to island. So that it gives rise to a group of people with a special culture or what we usually refer to as “Tribe”. So in response to the question from Mr. Syayid, the question was “What do you think of Indonesia Culture and the World in the year of 2020, especially after you know about theories and concepts of cultures?” Because there is a lot of cultural diversity in Indonesia, the culture in Indonesia is always changing, both through internal and external factors. For example, we can see from the perspective of communication between people then and now, in the past when people spoke they had to face to face, so that the value of their intimacy became closer, but in 2020 people can communicate only by using the telephone only. maybe this can have a positive or negative impact for every individual.
Then we can see that in terms of dress, people used to wear clothes much more modestly than the average person today who may have a slightly open style of dress and look impolite when used in Indonesian regions. This is due to cultural influences from outside, especially culture from western countries. We as Indonesian citizens should be able to filter out what things can be applied or used in Indonesia by paying attention to our culture first. We only need to take the good things, and leave the bad things that are not in accordance with national values and cultural values in Indonesia
We can also take a lot of the positive side of the entry of culture from outside to Indonesia, such as the many sophisticated tools that come from abroad which are very useful for everyday life so that everything can be done effectively. From my explanation earlier we can see that culture in Indonesia will always change at any time as long as there is interference from outside cultures, so that it can also lead to cultural acculturation. This changing culture has a positive side and a negative side for the nation and the world.

culture is a habit or tradition that is widely followed and often carried out in society. Over time the culture of a country can change, increase or disappear over time, it depends on the future generations, whether to preserve or be destroyed. Of course we don’t want our culture to disappear.

Culture can be divided into two types. There are traditional cultures and modern cultures. Tradisioanal culture is a habit passed down from our ancestors to their descendants from generation to generation. In other words, traditional culture has existed since we were created in this world. For example, such as traditional dance, traditional music, traditional arts, traditional musical instruments and many more that I cannot possibly mention here one by one. Meanwhile, modern culture is a habit that is often carried out by people today. The habits that are often carried out by friends here will bring provisions for the future of their grandchildren later. One example of modern culture is dance, clubbing, and others that are related to Satanism.

The country of Indonesia is one of the countries most rich in cultural friends. So you don’t underestimate Indonesian culture today. This is because Indonesia is an archipelago or maritime country which has 13,000 islands that are separated from one another. And that is what causes the habits of the people to differ from one another, and a tradition for each village and city varies from island to island. So that it gives rise to a group of people with a special tradition of recognizing him as an identifier or what is commonly called a “tribe”. With these ethnic differences, friends can see where the Indonesian nation gets its cultural diversity. The many cultures in Indonesia are also supported by the abundance of natural mascots, ranging from animals, ranging from animals, plants, flowers, buildings, and so on. It is really His blessings that have poured out so much about art in our lives. As Indonesian citizens, we should be grateful by protecting and caring for and preserving our culture, Indonesian culture.

I’m going to tell my opinion about our cultures and this era. The culture in this era was very different from the oldest culture. we can take one example. from the oldest cultures, we talk or communicate -face to face- or send letters to other people. but now for the new culture, we can send text messages or chat from the distances. it’s called modernization.

We can learn about tolerance for other cultures that comes to us. But not to take down our old culture. In this era 2020, there are many cases of racist and intolerant attitudes. We don’t want to make our generation to be a racists people, right!? So, this is important to us as a adult person to teach them about our cultures.

Indonesia has so many cultures that we can take a values form it. Not just only about the arts, there is so much values about attitude and morals that we can take from the oldest culture. There are several ways to keep standing our local culture; first, cultivate the mindset that being cultured is not old-fashioned. Second, don’t just criticize but do it. Third, to keep standing does not mean to refuse the others. Fourth, teach culture to the younger generation.

    Thanks~

Indonesian culture and world in 2020
Indonesia is diversity. because in Indonesia there will be many kinds of culture. the uniqueness of each community, and the beauty of every corner of the area. Indonesia has a diversity of ethnicities, cultures, religions that coexist peacefully. Each region has its own characteristics, traditional houses, food, and much more. Indonesia also has fertile land, lots of spices. There are already beautiful beaches, cool mountains and islands. Indonesian people are known to be friendly. Indonesian people love to work together.
The habits in Indonesia in 2020 are very different from the previous year, not only in Indonesia but also in the world. we all feel this change because of the covid 19 virus. all the habits of society change, the world of education and work because all activities are carried out online. in 2020 looks clearly different is the way of communicating. all communications were bold. no face to face anymore. schools use the google meet application, zoom, and more. Likewise for work, everything is done online. all people carry out their activities online. people switch habits online. they communicate via zoom, WA, and other applications. Indonesian people seem to enjoy this pandemic period with TikTok, IG, they express themselves there. Although initially many complained that they wanted to leave the house and meet friends, study at school and go to work as usual, Indonesians are now a little used to doing all activities online. they already enjoy expressing themselves through their median social accounts. this way of communicating in 2020 is what makes it different from the previous year, namely by online.
From the situation in 2020 we realize the importance of studying technology, and here technological sophistication such as gadgets is needed for smooth communication, and all activities are carried out through these gadgets, you can imagine how difficult it would be for people during this pandemic without gadgets to communicate. Apart from gadgets, the application in it is no less important for smooth communication, such as zoom and google meet. This application is very effective to help communication. Because this application supports group communication. This application is very helpful during a pandemic like this. Community habits are transferred to the network.

In my point of view about Indonesian & the world culture in 2020 , in Indonesian culture it can be said to be a country that still maintains the hereditary heritage from its ancestors. This can be seen from the many small tribes in the interior that are still untouched by outside life or modern cities. They prefer to stay in the area of their birth. Not only that, one of the traditional viscosity is the Javanese aristocratic court in Yogyakarta. Even though the times are very advanced, they can still balance the development of the times and the culture that has been passed down from long ago. This can be seen from several customs which are still complete and continue to be carried out. And this is one of the applications and theories of the dynamic concept of culture.

Indonesian culture is able to develop amid the rapid development of times and the influence of foreign cultures, and in recent years many young people have been aggressively showing off their culture through social media, exhibitions, and some have even been able to introduce Indonesian culture to the international community. Not only that, on display of the world’s beauty, Indonesian representatives competed to prepare traditional designs that raised Indonesian culture, one of which was batik cloth with its beautiful shape. And this is one of the creativity of young people to be proud of in exploring Indonesian culture around the world.

Meanwhile, the current world culture also looks like the Indian state which is still very thick with its Hindu traditions. American culture, although they are famous for Eastern and Western cultures, are two very different cultural streams, but until now they can still tolerate culture, and there are still many examples of world culture that are able to balance with the times. So, after studying and knowing the concepts and theories about culture, as Hanchao Lu said in his book, if we want to study a culture then we must understand the various aspects that are the source of that culture, such as ethnicity, race, habits, behavior, customs, buildings. , diversity, marriage, and so on about that culture.

In my opinion, Indonesian culture in 2020 is still the same as in the previous year, it is still being developed both nationally and internationally. As said by our Minister of Education and Culture, Nadiem Makarim, “We break or remove the barriers that exist in our culture so that now cross-disciplinary cultural activities can occur in a more efficient, easier, more agile way”. Here it is clear that Indonesian culture has changed its paradigm. What started out as just maintaining or called the defensive cultural paradigm, has become an offensive cultural paradigm because now Indonesian culture is not only developed in the regions in our country but has been pushed to gain a stage in the wider world. We can see this with the number of Indonesian art performances abroad such as kecak, randai, and so on. This proves that in terms of state culture, Indonesia is gaining prestige and is famous in the eyes of the world.

Indonesia is a heterogeneous country with various cultural uniqueness. Each region has different languages, cultures, foods, customs and habits.
From all perspectives, Indonesia is very interesting to review. A heterogeneous country and open to various cultures, making Indonesia even more culturally rich. Because every culture that comes to Indonesia has always been successfully filtered by the community and eventually gave birth to a new culture that is not at all destructive and contrary to the culture of life since the time of our ancestors. This is what argues that Indonesia is getting richer in culture.

Meanwhile, discussing world culture will certainly take a very long time. However, after studying and understanding the concept of culture, I know that culture can be created anytime and anywhere, culture is not only limited to creativity such as dance and so on. Culture is very broad in scope, even from a person’s way of speaking it can be seen as a culture, therefore I can conclude that world culture has always been and will continue to develop, both this year and the previous year. It’s just that we know that this year Covid 19 spreads throughout the world, maybe the process of spreading culture is a little disrupted because many activities cannot be carried out amid this pandemic. But that does not mean that world culture has stopped because of this virus, this time this virus can be called an obstacle in the spread of culture and we also know that from this pandemic, new cultures and habits have also emerged in the world community. Pandemic or not, the world’s culture is still developing and a pandemic can be the cause of the birth of a new culture.

In Indonesia, some cultural basics are far older than the Republic of Indonesia itself and have been passed from generation to generation, because they were either useful to maintain social order or useful from a personal point of view. Just take the examples of the principle of harmony (Rukun), the principal of Discussion & Consensus (Musyawarah & Mufakat), the principle of respect for age and status, the principle of Indonesia’s unity, the principle of mutual cooperation (Gotong Royong), the principles of power in Indonesia. These principles are deeply rooted in beliefs, in social values and even in the national ideology.

Even children now a days have learned those principles in their family, in pre-school, school and university. Indonesian people refer to other culture like korean, Western culture and forgot about they culture.
So many cultures started to forgot in indonean culture.

We can assume that they will not change that fast or maybe not change at all, even if some Indonesians do study abroad and gain international experience. The majority of Indonesians still runs through the regular social system and even the once coming back from abroad are faced with the challenge to get their new experience in line with the culture in Indonesia. Some of them may succeed and bring some new cultural influence into Indonesia, but many of them simply follow the stream and turn back to their original culture.

    Thank you sir 🙏

iam sri mardaleni, my ID 1614050064 from TBI A, i wanna answer the question, Indonesia is a country of diverse cultures and customs attitudes. This year is a difficult time for indonesia itself and other countries on the earth due to the corona virus or covid 19. The attitude and behavior of human beings changed in Indonesia and the people of the earth in other countries also agreed to lock themselves at home in recent weeks. From this problem we can see that the usual culture in Indonesia is a citizen who is famous for theramahn of his community but since the system of distance keeping by the community government began to implement it and no more of it that we have encountered until now.
This policy has been applied to disputes regarding risk, environmental degradation, water engineering, organizational control, crime, traffic regulations, and religion. The method is to create abstract areas of the organizational environment that are possible in two dimensions (the strength of group boundaries and the power of structuring constraints on individual behavior), providing four ideal organizational types, each with an appropriate culture.
After various positions in this field, specific attitudes and values are postulated as institutionalized cultural pressures. The moral climate of the bureaucratic hierarchy shows in the lines and boundaries it ambers; Dissident groups developed a culture of enclaves, as well as a competitive market putting pressure for freedom to contract, isolating populations behaving idiosyncratically due to a lack of pressure to conform. The four types of cultures are assumed to be present in any community, each in dynamic competition with the other. I hope that the system does not become a shared concern that keeping a distance is a culture for indonesian people who are famous for their hospitality because this will eliminate the native culture of indonesia itself.

I will answer your question Mr. Syayid Sandi Sukandi, that what do i think of Indonesia Culture and the World in the year 2020, especially after you know about theories and concepts of cultures ?
In my mind culture is a way of life. Indonesia has a diversity of ethnic groups, giving rise to a lot of diversity in customs and cultures. Even though they are of different ethnicities and cultures, Indonesian citizens are able to bring these differences into the strength of the nation. Culture and humans can be likened to two sides of a coin which cannot be separated from one another. This is what can make Indonesia superior to other countries. The cultural diversity in each region and the attachment of this culture to the Indonesian people makes Indonesia look more unique so that it often attracts foreign tourists to visit Indonesia. Unfortunately, the awareness of the Indonesian people to preserve local culture is still very minimal. People tend to adopt foreign cultures that are more up-to-date with the times, even though there are many characters in foreign cultures that are not in accordance with the values adopted by the Indonesian state. Regarding globalization in a Western framework that wants to equalize the culture of the people in this world, it can be suspected that it is an interference with natural law and creation. Basically, the natural process of globalization must be in accordance with what is called by the Al-Qur’an, namely “that Allah created human beings in various nations and tribes, so that they get to know each other better” (Q. S Al Hujurat 13).
Apart from the community itself, the government also has an important role in efforts to preserve culture in Indonesia. The need for implementing policies that lead to efforts to preserve Indonesian culture. One example of a policy that could be supported is the appearance of local culture at national events. The government can also focus its attention on local cultural content education. We, the people of Indonesia, should strive for the reconstruction of Indonesian culture by considering several things; First, to carefully examine the ideas of thinkers of Indonesian culture since before independence. Second, examining the cultural politics of every government regime in power in Indonesia, since the beginning of independence, the Old Order, the New Order and the Reformation era, which include what conceptions of culture, what cultural constructs are, by whom, what cultural strategies are used, design cultural projections. What about Indonesia, so now we need to reconstruct. Third, carefully examine the original values that exist in society and changes in society. Fourth, Indonesia’s position in the midst of a large current of globalization and various world cultural powers.

From TBI-A , UIN Imam Bonjol Padang. Wanna as your question sir.
As we know, Indonesia is a country that is rich in culture, Indonesian culture is now starting to improve from before … even in terms of ethnic, linguistic or religious differences, we still respect each other …. Indonesian culture is very diverse, such as dances and many spices. foreigners who are amazed at the diversity of Indonesian culture … so we must be proud to be Indonesians who have a variety of cultures. Indonesia has a good culture of friendship and is very friendly. behind that, in this modern world, Indonesia has been touched by many foreign cultures, especially from the west. both in terms of appearance and activities. And generally for culture in countries in the world is very different. for example, western culture and eastern culture are very different. The location of cultural differences between the west and the east can first be seen from the moral ethics, customs and ways of solving problems. Western culture recognizes a freer moral ethic. Customary customs are not very strong, their influence is very weak when compared to State law.
Western culture is famous for its freedom, both in style of dress and association. Everyone has the right to reveal how to dress, whether open or closed. They are never ashamed of the clothes they wear. Restrictions in terms of relationships are not so strict, free sex behavior is not as if it is taboo. Even so, society is known as individualism, more selfish.
The difference between western and eastern cultures also lies in the provision of facilities, use of technology and use of time. Public facilities are available in sufficient numbers, reaching all elements of society. Technological advances are felt in several sectors. Adherents of western culture have a principle, time is money, where time really is. Eastern culture has stricter moral ethics and customs, but solving problems is a little more complicated. Various customs are still upheld by the community and even side by side with state law. People of Eastern culture are a bit entangled in problems and closed.
The difference between western and eastern cultures is evident from the association and style of dress. People of Eastern culture still uphold the issue of modesty in clothing, are more closed and less open. Adherents of eastern culture do not support associations that are too free and corrupt morals, but they belong to a friendly group of people who like to work together.
