Always, and always, I love watching dinosaurs’ movies. I know that this sort of movie is for kids, but I just cannot get away with it, and finally, after a brother of mine showed me this movie, I ended up saying, “terrific!”
Many reasons that I have in my mind to say that this movie is terrific. At least, it is terrific in my views. Here they are:
Firstly, this movie has breath-taking natural scenes. As we are part of nature, so movies that use nature as its scenes will always be interesting and eyes-catching. We could feel it as if we are in that movie. From the cage-looking images up to silent scary jungle with the sounds of wild birds, also, to the scenes of the old-giant fish in the pool water, all create great images for eyes to see.
Secondly, Jurassic World uses varieties of English spoken dialects, such as Japanese, African, and Indian. The rest is, of course, the standard spoken English: British and American. The characters presented in the movie become alive and that makes this movie to my mind deserves to be called as the Jurassic World. I begin to wonder if one day I watch a movie entitled the Earth of Jurassic. That would be terrific. It will use scenes in Korea, Japan, China, India, or may be one day in Indonesia? Who knows?
Thirdly, the plot of the story is moving forward. It has no flash-back since, assumingly; such plot will make children difficult to follow the story. The flashback is presented only in the conversation between the two little brothers in the car and some in the scenes where the scientists explain about the process of creating the new t-rex. Soon it was figured out that this new t-rex had DNA combination between tree frog, raptor, and lizard. So complicated! However, the creation turned out to be fascinating!
Fourthly, the moral part of the movie is stronger this time than the Jurassic Park. The earlier edition used strong facial expression between the two lover scientists with two little kids, a daughter and a son. Meanwhile, Jurassic World has that stronger mutual connection between two brothers. Since I have a brother, I guess that I feel that connection in the same way.
Fifthly, raptors are more powerful than t-rex. In the Jurassic Park, t-rex and raptors could communicate by using sounds they created to give certain messages each other. In Jurassic World, those linguistic pictures of how animal communicate are shown even stronger. That makes this movie linguistically awesome. We are given the pictures of dinosaurs communicating to fight the dominant dinosaur. Raptors in this movie are shown as the stars and t-rex and other dinosaurs are only as the extra animals.
One thing that I notice in this movie is that raptors and t-rex could communicate and that helps them fight this new born Indominus rex. In that part, this movie is terrific, but for the connection between Owen and his raptors is still out of my mind to comprehend. Nevertheless, if men can be close to dogs, why not raptors and Owen can have the same closeness to Blue?
The star of this movie is Blue, the leading raptor. Well done, Blue!
Blue, Delta, Echo, and Charlie – great siblings.
