The Power of Plants in “The Beautiful Truth”

The Beautiful Truth is a documentary movie

This movie is considered as a documentary movie. After watching this movie, though at first stage this movie looks boring; but at the end, it gives meaning more than what I could interpret from the plot of the movie. Overall, this movie tells the secret of how this life is created for human. A boy, whose name is Garrett, is trying to access the ideas proposed by Dr. Gerson. She mentioned that the cure of health problems lies in the power of plants. Garrett founds that this idea is reliable. Although there are some disputes happening between scientist in discovering the “truth”, which means to fight the cancer, there seems to be a prominent answer to this case. In essence, the answer of how to answer the challenge of cancer, as a deadly illness in human civilization, is to consume fresh fruits and vegetables. This is considered as the key to figure out the meaning of the beautiful truth. It is actually simple, but the meaning of the “fruits and vegetables” is for us to keep this earth in green. The everlasting effect is not just for us, but for all human being on this blue planet, from one generation to the next generation, from our time to the time of the grandchildren of our grandchildren.

A passage that I found to be the most intriguing from this movie is this:

It won’t matter what you own or owed, resentment will finally disappear…

What matter is how your days have been measured;

What will matter is not what you bought, but what you build, not what you got, but what you gave;

What will matter is not your success, but your significance;

What will matter is not what you learn, but what you taught;

What will matter is not your competence, but your character;

What will matter is not how many people you knew, but how many will feel an everlasting lost when you’re gone;

What will matter is not your memories, but the memories of the people who love you..

—– “The Beautiful Truth”

A life lived that matters is not circumstances, but a choice.

“Sometimes, we know the truth, but when it comes to selfishness, the truth is covered by the dust, the form of evil, the want to conquer everything. Shall we clean the dust to restore peace?” – Syayid, 2012.
