Title: “What Students Should Do in Improving Their English Skills”

Thesis statement:     Students can use English well if only they do a lot of practices and exercises daily

Topic Sentence 1: There are two language skills that are related to practices

Why?        : Speaking is important because it is always used in daily communication

How?        : Students can develop their speaking skill if they always make themselves engaged in a conversation, a short talk, or a friendly chat with native speakers of English.

Why?        : Writing is also important because it is used for written communication  in daily life.

How?        : Students can practice writing well by writing their own ideas, criticism, and opinion about a particular thing that they like. In the first time,   grammar is not really necessary, but, when they are in an academic writing, grammar is really important.

Topic Sentence 2: There are two language skills that are related to exercises

Why?        : Reading is important because this skill is crucial for the students in understanding academic reading material.

How?        : Students can develop their reading skill by reading many books, and various kinds of text.

Why?        : Listening is important for the students because this skill will help them understand spoken English in an academic context.

How?        : Students can listen to international television or radio channel, such as BBC (British Broadcasting), and VOA (Voice of America).

By doing a lot of practices and exercises daily, students can improve their English.
